Why Take the Course?

The Nutrition in Medicine® series originated from the need to educate medical students about nutrition. Historically, nutrition has not been a part of the core curriculum for most medical schools. As a result, there has been a lack of consistent information for physicians to draw from.
With the shift in the medical community towards prevention and wellness, as well as the public’s growing awareness of health issues, healthcare professionals are now more than ever expected to provide advice about disease prevention and health promotion.
This is where the Nutrition in Medicine® series can help. The comprehensive nutrition modules are specially designed to teach basic nutritional science within the framework of a clinical topic (such as a particular disease state or lifecycle period), making it more interesting and relevant.
Designed with flexibility and portability in mind, the Nutrition in Medicine® series is well suited for classroom, independent, small group, or distance learning.
