Indications
Nutritional management of persons with:
Defect in the intraluminal hydrolysis of fat (decreased pancreatic lipase, decreased bile salts).
Defective mucosal fat absorption (decreased mucosal permeability, decreased absorptive surface).
Defective lymphatic transport of fat (ie. intestinal lymphatic obstruction).
